Singita Kwitonda Lodge

Overview

Named after a legendary Rwandan silverback gorilla, Kwitonda is set in a remote 72 hectares of untouched forest on the fringes of Volcanoes National Park. A haven for rare and endangered mountain gorilla and golden monkeys, the park is also home to five of the eight extinct volcanoes that make up the Virunga Mountains.

Singita Kwitonda Lodge offers sublime and uninterrupted views of the Sabyinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura volcanoes, and is a luxurious base from which to go gorilla trekking in the high-altitude, misty forests. Discover other shy forest animals like side-striped jackal, buffalo, elephant and an abundance of exotic birds during your blissful time here.

Conservation and sustainability lie at the core of all things Singita, and guests are also offered the rare opportunity to combine a gorilla-trekking safari with a classic wildlife safari in the Serengeti plains of Tanzania.
